Why Wrist Foot and Ankle Tattoo Designs Are So Hot - Sexy and Cute Tattoo Designs for Girls

By Chris Ryerson

Have you noticed that in recent years, the tattoo lower back is not as popular as before? It seems that as of May women have gone out and got less back tattoos that many women are now looking for something else. Of course, they always want something that's cute, feminine design and a hot tattoo look for girls. However, most women these days are no longer getting the lower back tattoo designs. They opt for foot tattoos, tattoo designs of wrist and ankle tattoo instead. Why do people have changed and what makes these places so popular among women and also so sexy.

ankle tattooMiniatures, Small and Sexy

Often getting a tattoo on top of your foot or the underside of your wrist by its very nature, means that the tattoo design should be quite small. It is interesting, but something magical happens when people miniaturize things. She makes some cute and sexy at once. This is also true for tattoo designs. If you are considering obtaining a tattoo design on the ankle then you're probably looking for something on the smaller side and by its very nature it will be cute and sexy.

Easy To Cover

Another reason these areas like the feet are also a popular place on the body to get a tattoo is that they are easy to conceal. For example, a wrist or foot or even a pin can easily be masked by a pair of socks or a watch. Yet, when one wants to reveal their sexy cute design or tattoo, they can easily prove to anyone they wish.

ankle tattooEasy to Get Tattoos

Another thing that makes these tattoos so popular is that they are very easy to get inked. A small tattoo that goes into these places is easy to design and takes an hour or less time to get inked. Therefore, if you are unsure of the pain of a tattoo or go to your first drawing is an easy way to start. It is not as expensive as a large tattoo design and it can be much cheaper in the end. It gives you a taste of the experience without going overboard. You may decide later, like most people who get tattoos, you want more but that is fairly easy to do.

The only word of advice is one of those areas can be difficult to get a tattoo from some other parts of the body. It does not really most people back, but you can mentally prepare yourself that this might be a little more painful then other areas get tattooed. Because all three of these areas have very little fatty tissue located between the skin and bones. Therefore, they tend to hurt more when ink is getting done. Again, this does not stop most people and people sit with tattoos all the time and you should be able to do so without too much noise.

Old School Tattoo Designs

3 Old-School, Popular Tattoo Design Types
Old School Tattoo Designs
Old School Tattoo Designs
Tattoos are a common thing these days. They are more popular than ever before. Research has shown that nearly 1 in 4 people have at least one tattoo. There are many designs to choose from, giving people a chance to be creative. Below, we will take a look at some of the most popular tattoo designs.

Tribal tattoos are among the most popular designs. They have been around for hundreds and hundreds of years and they are always evolving and becoming more and more complex with their designs and styles. Tribal tattoos can either be the traditional black style that cover the arms and the legs or the more colorful styles that can cover every area of the body. The colorful, more modern look is becoming more and more popular when compared to other styles.

The "old school" styles of tattoos are also popular. Anchors and things like that are making a great comeback these days and not just with sailors. These styles were very common and very popular back in the 60s. They are rapidly gaining their popularity back, as females and males are getting anchors and swallow designs tattooed on them more and more.

Lower back tattoos are the most common for women. The lower back is one of the most sexual and sensual areas on a women, making the ideal spot for a tattoo. Tribal designs are the most popular, although flowers, dragons, and other symbols make great tattoos as well. The lower back offers plenty of natural curves as well, which can make for an innovative tattoo. Often times, women tend to include tribal that spreads, covering the base of their hips as well.

Dragon designs are another popular type style of tattoos. They were popular in the past, and are now starting to get their popularity back. There are a lot of different dragons to choose from, including the mythical dragon and ancient Chinese dragon. Dragons are great on the chest for males and the back for females. Dragon tattoos can be virtually any size, although most males tend to have them cover one side of their chest or the upper region of their arms.

Celtic tattoos
are also popular as well. They are mostly seen with those who have a Celtic heritage, although some with no Celtic heritage have them as well. They offer a variety of symbols and designs, providing universal meanings for everyone. Often times they are mixed with tribal tattoos to create a more innovative tattoo.

There are several other types of tattoos out there, although the above are the most common. Tattoos can be very creative and innovative; it all depends on what you want. If you're looking to stand out and be truly creative - you can always have a professional tattoo artist design one for you.

Military Tattoo Designs

Military Tattoo Designs

Tattoos have a history going back thousands of years, and very possibly tens of thousands. The earliest absolute evidence of tattoos is from the skin of a famous mummy who came to be known as Otzi. Otzi is a mummy who was found trapped in the glacial ice of the Alps in the early 1990s. Originally thought to be someone who died relatively recently, after further examination, he was found to be over 5000 years old. Among the many interesting things scientists learned about Otzi is that he had tattoos still visible on his mummified skin. Rather than the tattoos we expect to see in modern days such as symbols, animals and plantlife, Otzi's tattoos were mostly made of a series of lines. The lines were over areas in his body where the scientists also found evidence of arthritis or other painful conditions, so they believe that his tattoos may have been medicinal rather than ornamental.

Long before Otzi was tattooed in the Bronze Age, there is evidence recovered during archaeological digs of probable tattoo implements as early as the Upper Paleolithic period (38,000 - 10,000 BC). These implements included red ochre, needles, and bone cups stained with ochre. Some figurines discovered from the same time period had designs on their skin, adding more circumstantial evidence to the belief that these very ancient people tattooed their skin.

Moving forward in history, we also know that the ancient Egyptians tattooed themselves. The first tattooed Egyptians were from the Middle Kingdom period (2160-1994 BC). The most famous tattooed Egyptian mummy from that period was a priestess named Amunet, who was discovered in Thebes. Amunet had tattooed lines and dots arranged in ornamental patterns on her chest, back, pelvis and legs. The tattoos on her back and chest were patterns of necklaces, belts and collars that were clearly ornamental. The tattoos over her pelvis were believed to enhance fertility.

In Ancient Rome, most tattoos weren't ornamental in nature, but were used in a much different way. Tattoos were used to track people who might otherwise be able to escape, desert or avoid identification. Slaves, prisoners, gladiators, Christians and mercenaries were all tattooed for these reasons. Soldiers, on the other hand, chose to be tattooed. Military tattoos were considered a great source of pride for the Roman soldier. Soldiers tattooed themselves to indicate their legion or unit and their rank, as well as for commemorative reasons such as for important battles or acts of bravery. The most common places for tattoos among Roman soldiers were on the face and the hands, presumably because the tattoos could be easily seen and their meanings quickly conveyed, but other areas of the body were often tattooed as well.

Members of many other ancient societies also tattooed themselves for various reasons. If you are interested in learning more about the history of tattoos, some other societies who have an interesting tattoo history are the early societies of Great Britain and Western Europe, South America, and Asia and the Pacific Rim.

Tattoo Changes - In Tattoos Zone

Tattoo Changes - In Tattoos Zone

Tattoo Changes - In Tattoos Zone
Not all tattoo changes can be fixed with a touch-up, though. Stretch marks are a good example, depending on the color of the stretch marks and the effect that the lack of elasticity in the skin has meant to the overall design of the tattoo. Only a visit to a tattoo artist will let you know. Likewise, a tattoo that has blurred may not be a good candidate for a touch-up.

Ironically, though, if the tattoo continues to blur at an accelerated rate (for whatever reason) it may enter into touch-up territory sooner rather than later. In a perfect world, everybody who wants a tattoo gets one and everybody who gets one likes it forever. Tattoos and people change, though, and not all tattoos are created equal. In some instances, people, their tattoos, and their tattoo design choices change to the extent that removing the tattoo entirely is the most desirable choice. This article acknowledges the obvious fact that some people will want their tattoos touched up, fixed, covered, removed, and even some combination of these. It offers information on all of these different approaches to changing a tattoo, including which approach is best suited to the different types of tattoos and the typical scenarios where tattoo changes are wanted.

Touched

Tattoo touch-up is part of the course of business, and some tattooists are constantly getting their own tattoos touched up in order to keep them looking fresh and great, sort of like hairdressers constantly doing each other's hair. A touch-up can take care of a variety of issues that may arise in a tattoo, although holidays (see chapter 3) spring to mind as the obvious candidate for this type of fix. Because small holidays am generally such a minor touch-up, many tattoo artists won't charge for them. It's always best to go back to the same tattooist who did your tattoo for the touch-up. You'll be assured of the same inks (composition and color) and workmanship. If you chose your tattoo artist wisely, then you have some amount of rapport with him or her as well.

Design Your Own Tattoo

By Michael Mantis

Behind every tattoo, lies a story. If it is good or bad, it is a personal story that only the holder of the artwork can distribute. I do not think I ever met someone who did not have a story to share, especially when it came to their art. It is always annoying when you want to see your tattoos, because there are still connotations trying to link tattoos with unscrupulous people.

design own tattooMy stepfather died in 1994. This left my mother numb, and looking for something to relieve numbness tel. Therefore, at the age of forty-four years, my mother received her first tattoo. It was a flower, entwined design of thorns and roses, which meant the good times (pink) and the most horrible moments (spines) of his life. For her, it took away the numbness, and makes her feel that she could still feel. I also got my first tattoo with her. I was twenty-one years, and a very self-hating point in my life. I always said I was beautiful, but - like many insecure young women of my age - I do not think so.

So what better way to feel beautiful, to put an image of beauty on myself? I chose a fairy - a passionate looking woman who was not only naked but also stood on a rose - wings. Better yet, the tattoo looks like a butterfly from afar. The next time I had a tattoo, I wanted another fairy. However, I could not find an etching that I liked. Fortunately, one of the tattooists happened to be a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago (I grew up in suburban Chicago area).

The tattoo artist has an original design of a fairy, and his long body, which makes the design of a design own tattoocherub move forward, as children figure, a voluptuous, breathtaking beauty with raven hair . She too is a fairy naked, but all the "bits" are covered very artistic. I had a six year old student of mine pointed out, crying: "Eww - She 's naked!" Without a pause in my reading lesson, I said: "That's art, honey." (I wore a Halloween costume that did not cover my upper leg - where the tattoo is.) Later my co-teacher pulled me aside and commented: "I love that you said a tattoo is an art!"

You do not need a book to tell you what a tattoo means to you. The total experience tattoo art comes from within you. I do not feel the same way I did before. A decade of life experiences gave me confidence I was lacking. However, for the moment I had no esteem for me love, I let my tattoos do the talking for me. I still love my two tattoos, and sometimes wonder if there are more tattoos in my future. Be assured that I have a story behind the next too!

About Tattooed

In this current economic climate many people simply cannot afford to get a top quality tattoo design done on their arm, shoulder or back, for instance. So therefore they are turning to cheaper alternatives such as foot tattoos, which can look just as good even though they are not necessarily on display all the time.

Even worse the tattoo that you got is something embarrassing or just plain ridiculous. This is a huge mistake. See more on Red And Black Tribal Star Tattoo. You may not know this but most of the original art is copywriter by the artist that drew it and only gives their top notch designs to specific websites. How do you look for galleries of tattoos? If you are doing it by clicking random search engine results we have just pin pointed the issue. Also more details on Monster Back Piece Tattoos and Tattoo Lettering H. They also have some sort of sex appeal to them.

Summer's Celtic Cross Honors Her Father

I see a lot of crosses in my travels through the streets of New York City, so they don't generally grab my attention.

This one, however, did:

There's nothing necessarily magnificent about this tattoo, but it just goes to show that a crisp, simple tattoo can be as aesthetically pleasing, sometimes moreso, than an overly-wrought elaborate design.

Summer had this memorial piece done for her father, who passed away in 2005. His initials grace the center of the cross.

It was inked in Tattooville in Linden, New Jersey. This piece is on Summer's left bicep, she also has the comedy/tragedy masks on the right shoulder blade portion of her back.

Thanks to Summer for sharing her tattoo with us here on Tattoosday!

Geraldine's Joseph (With a Nod to Green Day)

It was my boldest moment as a tattoo solicitor to date. A half-dozen or so Green Day fans were decamped in the early afternoon near the artist entrance at Madison Square Garden. Green Day was playing that night and I saw one person inked, a woman, but I chose to announce to all: "I write a tattoo blog and was wondering if any of you had Green Day tattoos?"

Sadly the answer was "no," or, I should say, not exactly.

The woman I spotted before spoke up and we chatted about her ink. She was okay having me take the following photo, one of the few I've posted in which you can identify the tattoo contributor:

Her name is Geraldine and the tattoo she is displaying is a memorial piece for an ex-boyfriend who recently passed away.

Joseph was a musician and died of a heroin overdose.

Geraldine is a huge Green Day fan and Billie Joe Armstrong, lead singer for the band, has the name Joseph on his arm, in honor of his son.

Geraldine chose the same font as Billie Joe's Joseph tattoo and noted that, in the song "Jesus of Suburbia" the first three letters of each word in the song title spell out the first three letters in the name Joseph.

She had this tattoo at Ink Inc. in Kingston, New York.

Thanks to Geraldine for sharing her story and tattoo with us here on Tattoosday!

Elaina's Ink: The Mermaid and the Tarantula

Elaina has eighteen tattoos. And not to heap loads of praise on her, but her work is brilliant.

It was the mermaid on her inner right forearm that first grabbed my attention:

She told me that the drawing was indicative of her state of mind at the time it was inked. Her boyfriend had just moved out and she was feeling reflective (thus the hand mirror).

Elaina later followed up with an email, further clarifying the tattoo:

"I realized today when you asked me the significance of my mermaid tattoo that I probably would have been better quoted saying the absolute truth. The underlying universal secret wish of all girls and women alike... I've always wanted to be a mermaid."

But Elaina had more to share. Much to my delight, she lifted her skirt on her left side to reveal this wonderful tattoo:

The spider is modeled after her mother's pet tarantula, Shelob, who is named for the giant spider in The Two Towers, book two of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I asked her what Mom thought of her ink and Elaina rolled her eyes and said that her mother recently wept when she told her she was planning her nineteenth tattoo. And, Elaina added, her mom is no stranger to ink. She told me that her mom was tattooed by legendary tattooist Lyle Tuttle during the Rolling Stones' Tattoo You tour.

The mermaid was tattooed by Claire at Funcity Tattoo in Manhattan. The spider on Elaina's thigh was done by Neal Aultman at Physical Graffiti in New Jersey.

Thanks to Elaina for sharing her amazing ink with us here on Tattoosday!
